Jessner Peel is a certified professional-grade formulation. When you're dealing with cystic and heavy acne, a medium-depth combination peel can be your solution. The combination of Salicylic, Lactic, and Resorcinol creates a powerful reaction in the skin to help clear out pores and create medium skin sloughing.

Our Jessner’s Peel is a modified type of Jessner that consists of a blend of 3 acids: 28% Lactic 28% Salicylic and 14% Resorcinol. Each plays a different role in resurfacing the skin. These 3 ingredients work synergistically to diminish wrinkles, lighten hyper-pigmentation, control acne, and slow the production of excess oil.

Average Downtime is 7-10 days

For Fitzpatricks III-VI, we recommend a series of lighter peels and home care that consists of Vitamin A ( Anti-Wrinkle Retinox) along with a melanin inhibitor for a minimum of 4-6 weeks, preferably up to 6 weeks before your first peel.

Peel Procedure:

1. Cleanse the skin thoroughly with Gentle Foaming Cleanser, removing all makeup and debris. Perform a double cleanse if necessary.

2. Degrease: Peel Activator Solution or ClearBalance - Apply pad to the treated area or Lactic Enzyme Gel Peel (pH 2.9)- Apply to the treated area and leave on for 2-3 minutes, remove with cool water. (Choose according to skin type).

3. Apply Peel Guard under the lash line, around the nostrils, and the vermilion border
of the lips, and the corners of the mouth.

4. Apply Jessner Peel; 4-6 layers (depending on Fitzpatrick), beginning at the forehead and working down to the jawline (short/even strokes). Allow 1st layer to dry completely before applying more layers. ”Frosting” will be visible. A fan may be necessary.

5. Apply one of ClearChoice’s® signature sun protectants - Sport Shield SPF • 45 or Sport Shield Extreme SPF• 55.

This peel is self-neutralizing when used alone. Once applied to the affected area, it CAN NOT be neutralized. To cool the skin, rinse the treated area with Hydrating Cleanser, and gently massage any residual hot spots. Water alone may spike and trigger acids to further process.

• Recommend not to wash face that night.
• Resume normal morning protocol.
• Allowing the peeling process to begin & last up to 5-6 days.
• Schedule Patient 7 days after peel for Post Peel Procedure.
