To encourage cell proliferation, estheticians will have clients prepare with nightly exfoliants like Renewal Serum 10% lactic acid, Vita A Lift, or Vita A + C. Each product assists the skin with cell renewal and collagen regeneration.

This type of at-home preparation provides an even skin renewal. So when clients receive a diamond treatment the results are extraordinary with immediate skin results.

Diamond Peel Treatment
Most schools like to teach with the diamond tip system. The diamond tips have a different level of exfoliation. However, it is also determined by the setting of the vacuum. Vacuum settings are extremely important when treating all skin of color.

The darker the skin the more sensitive the skin, so the vacuum settings for a Fitzpatrick III-VI are lower than a Fitzpatrick I or II. Also, it is important to select the correct diamond tip for a smooth flawless treatment experience.

Once again, the diamond microdermabrasion is for licensed professionals that want an easy, non-aggressive treatment for their clientele. The level of abrasion depends on the skin type, color, and certain conditions that may be present due to sensitivity, hormonal changes, and/or medications.

The ideal treatment series is every two weeks for 6 – 12 treatments, depending on the client’s skin goal. Then monthly microdermabrasion treatments are recommended for long-term lasting healthy skin results.

Always perform a complete skin analysis before scheduling a diamond microdermabrasion treatment. A skin analysis will provide the beauty professional with all the additional information when selecting the level of diamond grit and vacuum pressure.
